CURRENT PROJECTS

My current work centres on how contemporary fiction responds to political and cultural crises, with a particular focus on questions of form and literary responsibility.

I have just completed two edited collections: one on the author Hari Kunzru (with Kristian Shaw) and one on Community in Contemporary Fiction (with Peter Ely). I am currently working on a collaborative monograph (with Kristian Shaw) on Transglossic Literature, and a solo project on sensitivity in the contemporary novel. I also continue to research magical realist spatialities, with a particular focus on folk and fairy tale.
